IRCTC is providing its own eWallet facilities. In this article, we will go through the steps to register IRCTC eWallet, and also we will discuss how you can add/deposit money to it.
While making a payment, usually waiting for Bank’s server availability/response, and again transaction confirmation/acknowledgment takes lots of time as it involves several steps. While booking a Tatkal ticket, it is a nightmare to book your ticket while making the payments via Banks or 3rd party wallets. IRCTC eWallet eliminates all these issues and provides you with the fastest way to book your tickets even Tatkal tickets as well.

How to register IRCTC eWallet
If you have not yet registered for IRCTC eWallet, please follow the below steps.
- Step 1: Log in to the IRCTC portal using your User ID and Password.
- Step 2: From the menu bar go to IRCTC EXCLUSIVE -> IRCTC eWallet -> IRCTC eWallet Register Now/Reactivate.
- Alternatively, you can navigate to your My Profile Section(MY ACCOUNT -> My Profile -> Update Profile) and scroll down to the “IRCTC e-Wallet” Section then click on the “REGISTER/REACTIVATE” button.
- Step 3: In case if you have verified your Aadhaar card, then please go to the next step.
If you are not a verified user, then you will be navigated to Verify PAN CARD/Aadhaar Card page. Depending on Radio Button Selection(PAN Card Number or Aadhaar Number), you will be redirected to either PAN card Verification Page or to Aadhaar Card KYC Page.

For PAN Card Verification, please Enter the PAN Card Number and PAN Card holder’s First Name and click on verify.
- Step 4: Upon successful Verification of your PAN/Aadhaar Card, you will be asked to Set a Transaction Password for eWallet Transactions. Please set the password and click on Submit Button.
- Step 5: To verify if your registration is successful or not, go to the Menu bar, click on IRCTC EXCLUSIVE -> IRCTC eWallet> Here if you see an option to Deposit, Deposit History, Refund Status, etc., then your eWallet has been created successfully.
Alternatively, you can go to your Profile from the Menu bar(MY ACCOUNT -> My Profile -> Update Profile) and scroll down to the “IRCTC e-Wallet” section. You will see an option to “Deposit” instead of “Register/Reactivate”.

Steps to Add Money to IRCTC eWallet
- Step 1: Log in to the IRCTC portal using your User ID and Password.
- Step 2: From the menu bar go to IRCTC EXCLUSIVE -> IRCTC eWallet -> IRCTC eWallet Deposit. Alternatively, you can navigate to your My Profile Section(MY ACCOUNT -> My Profile -> Update Profile) and scroll down to the “IRCTC eWallet” Section then click on “Deposit”. You will be navigated to Deposit Screen as below.
- Step 3: You need to enter the amount you would like to deposit in both the Deposit Amount and Confirm Deposit Amount fields. Then select your preferred payment method and click on the “Make Payment” button available on the bottom side of your screen.
- Step 4: Depending on your Payment method selection, carry forward with the transaction to Deposit into IRCTC eWallet with entered amount.
- Step 5: Upon successful transaction, you will be navigated to a page having Deposit transaction details as below.
Note: IRCTC allows Minimum ₹ 100.00 and a Maximum ₹ 10,000.00 to Deposit to the Wallet.
